Elephant Tree continues their lumbering onslaught across the heavy music landscape!

First, their logic-defyingly beloved self-titled album recently captured the #4 spot on The Obelisk’s Top 15 of 2016 So Far list (view here).

That high-profile nod was followed closely by Obelisk honcho JJ Koczan posting an extensive interview/feature with the band, in which he called what they do, “the kind of thing that makes you want to tell a friend they need to hear it, because invariably they do.”  You can read the full article in all its glorious Obeliskian wordsmithery right here.

Elephant Tree is also the third Magnetic Eye band – alongside Summoner and Ironweed – to be added to the much-anticipated Planet of Doom project, as gushed about in this recent Facebook announcement

If you’re not already aware, Planet of Doom is (or will be) an epic, feature-length animated fantasy/sci-fi film created entirely by artists and bands from the doom/stoner/psych/metal scene, very much in the spirit of adult-intended films animated pictures of the 70s and 80s like Heavy Metal.  Learn more here – we’ll tell you more as soon as we know about it!

Finally, Elephant Tree has been booked for a good number of festivals and high-profile summer dates across England.  If you’re lucky enough to reside in the U.K. (or near enough to chunnel your way there), don’t miss the chance to witness the demolishing serenity of Elephant Tree onstage between now and summer’s end at:

July 29 – Red Sun Fest, Cardiff
August 6 – Sludgefest, Reading
August 13 – Gig with Wychhound, London
August 21 – All-Day Gig, Coventry
September 4 – Gig with Bongcauldron, Manchester

The bottom line, my friends, is that it's Elephant Tree's world these days... and we're just lucky to be living in it.
