There is hardly a better feeling than when the time, energy, and resources you've dedicated to a band are validated by them getting some much-deserved recognition.
In a truly prestigious yet almost surreal example of such recognition, the British Library Sound Archive has invited Elephant Tree to have both of their albums, THEIA (MER030) and ELEPHANT TREE (MER043), catalogued and archived as part of the national audio and cultural heritage.
Despite one of the albums having just been released in April, Elephant Tree's music will now have the honor of being preserved at one of the world's foremost cultural archives.
Soon, physical and digital formats of both releases will be added to the Sound & Moving Image collection at the British Library's world-class facilities, residing there for many generations to access and enjoy hereafter. Wow!
